The New Mexico Farm and Livestock Bureau was formed in 1917 in the Mesilla Valley of Southern New Mexico. It is now organized in 32 counties in the state with more than 17,000 member families. It is affiliated with the American Farm Bureau Federation, the world’s largest, private organization of agricultural producers with five million family members in all 50 states and Puerto Rico.
The New Mexico Farm and Livestock Bureau’s mission remains the same as it was at the inception of the organization: To improve the plight of those in agriculture and provide a unified voice for New Mexico’s farmers and ranchers.
